Energique^® Phenolics are another great tool for achieving optimal health.  Since I've begun using them, I've been much more able to function in my environment.

Why is that?

It's because many food substances and environmental toxins have sensitizing properties that are related to their phenolic rings, which can create an allergic response in some individuals.

Energique's isopathic phenolic remedies are formulated to assist the body in desensitizing itself to the various foods associated with the phenolic rings in each formulation.  Each is formulated in 6-12-30x and 12-30c potencies, with distilled water and 20% ethanol.

Multi-Phenolic

Many food substances and environmental toxins have sensitizing properties that are related to the phenolic rings of that particular substance.  These phenolic rings can create an allergenic response in some individuals.  Energique^®, Inc has created a line of isopathic phenolic remedies, formulated in 6-12-30x and 12-30c potencies, to assist the body in desensitizing itself to the various foods and environmental toxins associated with the phenolic rings of each formulation.

Energique's Multi-Phenolic is a combination of all of these phenolics, and is indicated for temporary relief of sensitivities due to allergic responses.

Acetaldehyde Phenolic

Acetaldehyde is an industrial chemical, as well as one found in nature.

• It is used in the manufacturing of perfumes, flavors, aniline dyes, plastics, synthetic rubber and many other items.
• In nature, it is found in most fruits and vegetables, and is also present in all fermented products.

Acetaldehyde has a general narcotic manifestation, with all the symptoms of chronic intoxication and its "hangover" symptoms, etc.  This chemical is also thought to be an important toxic by-product of Candida.

Acetaldehyde is volatile in some conditions, and as such, has free-radical properties.  Free radical contribute to the petrochemical sensitivities and the "spreading phenomenon" of allergies to foods.  The number of symptoms it can create are legion.

Acetylcholine Chloride Phenolic

Acetylcholine Chloride (or ACC) is a substance that everyone will show positive to, in a provocative test.  It's not important for someone who is only mildly positive; only to one who shows extreme values on the EAV test.

A candidate for ACC commonly has difficulty with memory.  Other symptoms often present include:

• headaches,
• ulcers,
• heartburn, and (uncommonly)
• hiatal hernia.

Neutralization has been effective in controlling the above symptoms, although candidates often need other chemicals (phenolics) for full effect.  In some cases, ACC has also been useful for asthma.

Apiol Phenolic

Apiol seems to affect the hypothalamic-pituitary axis, and has been of value in some cases of chronic obesity.  It has been helpful in symptoms involving dysmenorrhea, and in some instances amenorrhea.

Ascorbic Acid Phenolic

Ascorbic Acid is used commercially, in prepared foods, as an antimicrobial and antioxidant.  Sensitivity can reduce one's overall health, or ability to stay healthy.  Increasing your ability to utilize vitamin C can also reduce your overall sensitivity to other phenolics, as well as aromatic compounds.

Energique's Ascorbic Acid Phenolic contains Ascorbic Acid 6x, 12x, 30x, 12c, 30c and distilled water.  20% ethanol.

Aspartame Phenolic

Aspartame is composed of aspartic acid and the methyl ester of phenylalanine, and is available under numerous brand names, such as NutraSweet, Equal and the like.

Aspartame is broken down, in the small intestine, into methanol ("wood" alcohol), at about 10% by weight.  It them metabolizes into formaldehyde.  A sensitivity to formaldehyde creates a broad range of symptoms; most recognizably, the classic vise-grip-at-the-temples headache.  This, then, is turned into formate, which is quickly eliminated as CO2 and water.

Studies have shown that about 5% of the population are sensitive to aspartame; but, it is considered dangerous only for people with Phenylketonuria (PKU).  However, over the years since it's appearance on the market, people who have used aspartame have presented numerous complaints about symptoms they suffer after ingesting it.  These symptoms may include:

• dizziness,
• insomnia,
• fatigue,
• problems with concentration,
• migraines, and
• digestive problems.

Maybe most troubling is the exaggeration of symptoms from preexisting neurological diseases and disorders.  However, concerns about aspartame have generally been dismissed, since the symptoms associated with the use of aspartame have not been substantiated by medical authorities.

BHT Phenolic

Butylated Hydroxytoluene (BHT) is a common food preservative.  Its use with nitrates and phosphoric compounds, to preserve foods, may have resulted in sensitivity to it.  These compounds are also suspect for the growing problem of stomach and digestive disorders.

Caffeic Acid Phenolic

Caffeic acid is essentially an allergy-related chemical.  It is an essential intermediary in higher plant metabolism, and has been used for

• allergic rhinitis,
• pharyngeal drainage,
• otitis problems related to drainage,

and in some cases, asthma.

Candida Albicans Phenolic

Candida albicans is a dimorphic yeast fungus, existing in the gut of many forms of animal life.  It can be found existing, with slightly less vigor, in the environment.

For humans, it's probably the most insidious opportunistic pathogen.  It has the capability of causing so much disruption to normal immune response, that its presence can be "invisible" to the INTERRO.

The inclination to use Candida would be justified by history.  Candida was included in this phenolics list because of its ability to circumvent the natural barriers to the absorption and detoxification of phenolics.  This results in a flood of symptoms.

Many distinct symptoms show up with Candida; but, in no specific pattern that applies to all.  In the past, the inclination has been to treat Candida without phenolics, until it is fairly stabilized.  After the Candida treatment is firmly established, it's easy to go back and add whatever phenolics are necessary.  Sometimes, no other condition existed that was of any significance.  More often, the patient will have had one or two predominant conditions that predisposed them to Candida.

Many hormones and neurotransmitters owe their provocative status to the immune disruption that occurred with yeast; and, subsequently, disappear when yeast is under control.

Additionally, diet and nutrition play a big role in the food and yeast allergic patient.  Some research would indicate that these people are not under nourished because of yeast and food allergies, but the reverse; they have yeast and food allergies because of their poor dietary habits.  Candida-control diets would have a double effect in these cases.

2. To give an opportunity to become nutritionally balanced.

The danger lies in people who lack the motivation or creativity to eat enough while on such a diet.  Candida Albicans Phenolic drops provide dietary flexibility.

Chloragenic Acid Phenolic

Chloragenic Acid is found everywhere in nature among higher plants.  It is used essentially for congestion and related headaches.

Cinnamic Acid Phenolic

Cinnamic acid is present, in significant amounts, in most fruits and most sweet spices.  It's also found, in small amounts, in many tree pollens; but, is particularly abundant in pines and firs.  Additionally, cinnamic acid is found in many grasses.

Cinnamic acid is involved in congestion; but, is more involved in dermatological problems.  It has also been valuable in bladder-related problems, especially in children with enuresis (incontinence of urine).  It has sometimes been used in cases of asthma, when used in tandem with Coumarin or Malvin.

Coniferyl Alcohol Phenolic

Coniferyl Alcohol is found wherever lignified plant tissue is formed, but significantly so in conifers.  For some, it has had an influence on allergies to evergreens; but more, it has been useful in headaches.

Curiously, coniferin is the primary substance in the molecule that is fermented to coniferyl alcohol by the action of yeast.  In foods, beets, beet sugar, yeast, milk and whiskey are primary sources.

Energique's Coniferyl Alcohol Phenolic contains Coniferyl alcohol 6x, 12x, 30x, 12c, 30c and distilled water.  20% ethanol.

Cortisol Phenolic

Cortisol is the primary glucocorticoid produced by the cortex of the adrenal gland.  Its principle physiological actions are:

• to increase
• hepatic gluconeogenesis,
• hepatic glycogenolysis, and
• protein catabolism;
• to inhibit ACTH secretion (negative feedback mechanism);
• to maintain blood pressure, by sensitizing arterioles to the action of noradrenaline and renal excretion.

Of the secreted cortisol in circulation, 90% is bound to protein; mainly, to cortisol-binding globulin (CBG).

Note that serum cortisol concentration shows diurnal variation, with its highest concentration being after waking, then declining throughout the day.  The analysis of serum cortisol is used for the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the adrenal gland.

Coumarin Phenolic

Coumarin is one of the most important chemicals for asthma.  It has also been beneficial for:

• cervical neck pain,
• lower back pain (occasionally),
• digestive problems, and
• chronic fatigue.

Coumarin is a sort of "kamikaze suicide pill" that kills surrounding cells when pathogens attack, thereby killing the attacker as well.

Coumarin's best sources in nature are grasses and alfalfa.  Foods and milk products will carry some derivative of it, as well as most grains (grasses).  Coumarin is also described, in most literature, as a root growth hormone; so, it will be found in root foods, such as carrots and beets, and in some kinds of fungi.

Dopamine Phenolic

Estrogen Phenolic

Estrogen has been beneficial in regulation of hormonal irregularities associated with emotional and physical swings in women.  Additionally, it has shown effect on effeminate tendencies in young males.

GABA Phenolic

Gamma-Aminobutyric Acid (GABA) is most effective in neutralizing anger and hostility and its subsequent problems, such as high blood pressure.  More study needs to be done on its effectiveness.

Histamine Phenolic

Histamine is well known for its role in hay fever problems, and other "true" allergic responses.  Additionally, it is found in stinging plants and "aged" foods, particularly meats and cheeses.

Neutralizing histamine has helped in the general allergic phenomenon, as well as specific cases of vertigo.

Indole Phenolic

Indole is one of the principle growth hormones in higher plants, in the form of Indole-3-acetic acid (IAA).

To the herbivore, Indole is mildly toxic — if not for the bacterial flora of the intestinal tract.  For non-ruminants (such as humans), who have difficulty with Indole, its main effect appears to be intestinal, as it causes bloating and constipation.

Milk intolerance can be somewhat alleviated by neutralization to Indole.  However, complete neutralization to milk sometimes requires several phenolics.  Energique^® has reported the effective use of Indole for allergic rhinitis and chronic fatigue, as is the case with many phenolics.

L-Dopa Phenolic

L-Dopa is a chemical used in tandem with Dopamine, or other neurotransmitters, in neurological balancing mode.  Both L-Dopa and Dopamine share the same symptoms.  One or the other will have some or all of the effect on symptoms.

Both of these chemicals cause problems with Parkinsonism, and their neutralization will somewhat relieve the symptoms associated with it.  Additionally, chronic anxiety, depression and, occasionally, arrhythmia are benefited.

In foods, L-Dopa and Dopamine are found to cause something called enzymatic browning in fruits and vegetables, such as bananas and apples.

Malvin Phenolic

This product has been discontinued. Malvin is a natural phenolic pigment generally responsible for blue and red coloring in plants, although some food and other organic sources have prodigious amounts of Malvin without the coloring, due to the pH of the plant tissue.

This compound is highly neurological in activity and benefit.  Energique^® has observed a wide range of effectiveness.  Malvin is the first preference in children having attention deficit disorders such as

• dyslexia,
• dyskinesia, and
• some cases of autism,

etc.  Malvin's a major influence on asthma in children, particularly when the asthma is enhanced by excitement and exercise.  It has been used, with good success, in arthritis and psoriasis.

Mannan Phenolic

Mannan is a polysaccharide of major significance.

• Some research indicates that healthy blood has less than 1 mg of mannan per 15 ml of serum.  Patients studied with chronic mucocutaneous Candidiasis had as much as 40 mg per 15 ml of serum.
• Other reports describe mannan's ability to inhibit lymphocyte proliferation.
• Still other articles report PMN inhibition — the agents necessary for killing Candida and a number of pathogenic bacteria.

Mannan is reported to constitute between 30% and 50% of the cell wall of Candida and numerous other yeasts, as well as some pathogenic bacteria.  In some individuals, it has been used as a substitute for Candida desensitization, with equal or — at times — better success.

Neutralization of Mannan has had a positive effect on all of the Candida symptomology; but, additionally, it is frequently effective on chronic hives and angio-edema.

Melatonin Phenolic

Melatonin is a hormone produced in the pineal gland, and is the body's clock setter.  Sunlight enters the eye during the day, causing the production of melatonin.  At night, it is released and we get sleepy.  The less regulatory our lives are, the more problems we face with our body's regulatory device, melatonin.

Melatonin is also produced — to an unknown extent — in the digestive tract.  The less you eat, the more the body produces from this area, causing the body's systems to slow down.  It has been suspected that this is what causes the body to store more fat when we eat less.  (People with digestive problems almost always have sleep problems.)

Melatonin is great for helping people get a regulatory pattern going, that will help sustain good health.  For changes in daily routines (jet lag, shift work), a supplemental dose may be required.

Octopamine Phenolic

This product has been discontinued, due to excessive FDA regulation.  Octopamine is an amino acid found in mammalian nerve cells.  In invertebrate sea-life, it is quite significant, and is thought to function as an adrenalin component.  In insects, it is a neurotransmitter.

In mammals, including humans, Octopamine's function is poorly known, if at all; but, it seems to act as an adrenal (having adrenaline-like activity).  In fact, Octopamine is used for that purpose in trade name drugs.

In tests performed at Energique^®, it was observed that Octopamine was quite beneficial in countering the effects of petrochemical sensitivities, whose symptoms run the full gamut of possibilities.

Piperine Phenolic

Energique's Piperine Phenolic is a homeopathic remedy formulated to reduce sensitivities to piperine, a chemical predominant in the nightshade family.  The nightshade family consists of peppers, tomatoes, potatoes and tobacco.  Among the peppers, its prevalence varies, according to the pungency of the fruit.

The nightshade family has been thought to be a factor in arthritis; however, food elimination of nightshades isn't successful in that regard.  The answer probably lies in the abundant number of foods in which piperine is a trace compound.  These foods include cheese, sugar, yeast, several meat sources and an additive to brandy.

Progesterone Phenolic

Progesterone is a significant female hormone whose effects on the body are well documented.  Inability to utilize progesterone properly leads to symptoms of premenstrual problems of an emotional nature, as well as physical discomfort.  Its neutralization has been helpful with PMS; but diet, exercise and other therapies often have to be included.  Progesterone, in this sense, is probably more effect than cause.

Progesterone, either singly or with estrogen, has been used to balance pubescent girls and ease menopause stresses.  Other phenolics have aided the effectiveness of progesterone, such as GABA and Taurine.

Pyrrole Phenolic

This product has been discontinued, due to excessive FDA regulation.  Energique's Pyrrole Phenolic is a homeopathic remedy to help desensitize against pyrrole.  An industrially significant chemical, pyrrole is made generally for petrochemicals.  It is also widely used as an intermediate in the manufacture of other compounds.

Several important polymers can be traced to pyrole.  In nature, it outgasses from wool and albumin, therefore, a reaction to wool may be triggered by pyrole.  Additionally, it has been a benefit in gastrointestinal distress and, occasionally, for depression.
