Cinnamic acid is present, in significant amounts, in most fruits and most sweet spices. It's also found, in small amounts, in many tree pollens; but, is particularly abundant in pines and firs. Additionally, Cinnamic acid is found in many grasses.
Cinnamic acid is involved in congestion; but, is more involved in dermatological problems. It has also been valuable in bladder-related problems, especially in children with enuresis (incontinence of urine).
Cinnamic acid has sometimes been used in cases of asthma, when used in tandem with Coumarin or Malvin.
